Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

This is the scripture that came to my mind as I reflected on the fulfulfilment of a word that God sent through Pastor Carter.

I meet Pastor Carter at UTECH UCCF where he came to speak when I was in my 2nd year at school. I listened to the message that was given and I felt an impression on my heart to speak with him after the meeting.

I was a bit hesitant but I went. It was at this time that God gave him a word for me. He spoke about my being a mentor to persons as well as finishing at the top of my batch in school and receiving two cash awards.

I wondered if this word was really for me but in my heart I believed that if this was God speaking it would happen.  

At this time I was going though a valley experience and I was not doing better academically than the average person. This word served to motivate me during my low period.

But in the next two years God would cause his plans to unfold. My interest in my studies and performance improved and I made the Dean's list at the end of 3rd year. With a GPA that was the highest in my batch. It did not stop there as God blessed me so that I graduated with 1st class honors.

I have in fact received one cash award so far as I applied for scholarships at the end of 3rd year and was awarded one during my 4th year.

God is faithful, a Pastor from our church organization who visited my church spoke the same word to me about being a mentor to many people just under 4 weeks ago.

 Be encouraged, God never fails.
